Talking to a friend who helped start the BSU who is biracial, I mentioned that this nation, "is not for made for you" in so many ways: the justice system, advertising, even band-aids. He responded, "Not only that, but it was built upon our backs." When time came to shave the flag, I did not feel right being the one to shave the canvas.

I asked three strong black women that I know to shave the work. I videotaped. Video tape coming soon.
